As part of its programme for renewal of basic production assets, Okskaya Sudoverf (a company of UCL Holding) has performed modernization of its milling facility.

The modernization works included repairs with replacement of key components and units, installation of a specialized system of digital-program control. Investments into the project totaled about RUB 2.5 million.

The upgrading will allow for considerable expansion of the milling equipment’s function spectrum. As compared with a general-purpose manually-operated machine able to perform only one of possible operations at a single point in time the upgraded facility is ready for a combination of operations: cylindrical surface turning, drilling, hole reaming and enlarging, milling. Besides, the modernization ensures high accuracy and efficiency of work with contoured profiles.

The upgraded equipment will be put into operation in the shipyard’s marine engineering workshop in March 2018.
