Bridge construction

Floating automobile bridge

Floating automobile bridge is intended for crossing of water obstacles by wheeled, tracked vehicles and pedestrians. The bridge can be used in the construction, restoration or repair of a stationary bridge. Simple design, low manufacturing cost (in comparison with stationary bridges) allows to make a bridge at places where there are no stationary bridges.

All-metal flooring of the bridge roadway is equipped with anti-skid elements and has good grip with running gear of cars passing over the bridge.

Floating bascule bridge with two-line traffic consists of floating and coastal parts. Floating part is assembled from bridge sections 50 - 75 meters long with braced structure with closed type floating pontoons support.

Floating pontoon automobile bridge if necessary could be equipped with one or two of bascule bridge sections to let ships pass. The simplicity and reliability of design of bascule bridge sections devices provide bridge opening or entering movable parts of the bridge in line for 2-3 minutes.

The bridge is equipped with a special room for the crew, lighting, signs and signaling to ensure the safe movement of ships, vehicles and pedestrians. Radio station could be installed there in order to communicate with passing ships.

Floating part of the pontoon bridge could be disassembled in several days if necessary. Coastal parts are built on the site in accordance with individual project and are stationary.
