As part of its modernization programme, JSC Okskaya Sudoverf (a company of UCL Holding) has acquired two КМ-120 milling machines with NC control having invested RUB 10.5 million.
Multi-purpose КМ-120 machines can be used for manufacturing of a wide range of components in different production areas including main production – processing of hull parts, tool-making — production of components for die and mold machines, mechanical repair – equipment repair and modernization. КМ-120 machines will let improve part feature accuracy and reduce the general production cycle including setting-up and part monitoring. Besides, one NC machine replaces several manually operated units. That will let minimize the fleet of machinery, which, in its turn, will result in energy cost reduction and operational process optimization.
The milling machines were put into operation in the end of September 2018 in the marine engineering workshop of Okskaya Sudoverf shipyard.
