Hydraulic sheet bending press installed at Okskaya Sudoverf shipyard

As part of a comprehensive programme on modernization of production facilities Okskaya Sudoverf shipyard (AO Okskaya Sudoverf, a company of UCL Holding), put into operation a new open-sided sheet bending press IHPB 500 with press tonnage of 500 t and an NC unit. The equipment is manufactured by KEM Co., Ltd, S. Korea.

The new equipment intended for a high-precision cold bending of metal and eliminating the risk of deformation was installed in the hull production workshop СК-1 where metal for hull structures is cut and processed.

Investments in the project totaled some RUB 25 million.

The recent years have seen implementation of several tailor-made innovative projects including the construction of two ST23WI boats for FSUE Rosmorport, two RST54 tankers for PAO STLC, RST54 tanker for Alfa-Leasing, multi-purpose bunkering ship Ecolog of Project 92800 with bilge/waste water collection equipment built for Tuapse Commercial Seaport, multi-functional rescue tugboat Penay of Project TG-17 and a diving catamaran Igor Ilyin of Project SDS18 built for Marine Rescue Service of Rosmorrechflot . State-of-the-art equipment of Okskaya Sudoverf which now includes an open-sided sheet bending press manufactured by KEM Co., Ltd. lets Navashino shipbuilders fulfill more challenging orders.
