Okskaya Sudoverf launches fifth barge of Project ROB20

On 25 July 2018, Okskaya Sudoverf shipyard (a company of UCL Holding) launched the fifth non-self-propelled barge of Project ROB20, Belmax 5, built for PAO STLC.

The launching ceremony was attended by representatives of the customer, Navashino district administration, business partners and employees of Okskaya Sudoverf, Navashino citizens.

Irina Mizikayeva, Chief Manager-Expert, Support of Activities and Trade Procedures, Client Department, PAO STLC, acted as a godmother of the new ship.

In his opening speech, Okskaya Sudoverf Director General Vladimir Kulikov thanked the shipyard personnel for the work performed and marked high professionalism of Navashino shipbuilders.

Non-self-propelled tank barges of Project ROB20 are intended for transportation of petroleum products with a flashpoint of 610C and above. With their double sides and double bottoms the vessels feature an improved level of environmental friendliness. The barges will be operated on the Belaya, Kama and Volga rivers.

The ship’s class notation:   O 2.0 non-self-propelled liquid bulk carrier.

The contract for construction of a series of barges was signed on 31 October 2017. The fifth barge was laid down on 26 March 2018.
